Job Description

Title of post: Business Development Executive

Location: Daresbury

Responsible to: Sales Manager

About us: Our client is the market leader in Ireland for Cloud services with a growing presence in the UK. Delivering Enterprise Level Hosting and delivering in best technologies in the market, their success has led to growth opportunities and the need for a BDE to join their Daresbury team.

Main purpose of the job: To develop client relationships within private sector organisations in Northern Ireland to increase sales of our client's solutions.

Main Duties and Responsibilities: Essential duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Promoting our clients name and range of professional services & products through effective use of outbound sales avenues, and following up inbound leads and opportunities as required
  • Understand customer needs and objectives within the IT planning landscape
  • Creating and updating the company database with new leads as required
  • Data cleansing
  • Developing new business leads to pass to the Account Management team.
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams.
  • Successfully present and deliver our clients full range of solutions.
  • Review market sectors to determine customer needs and volume potential.
  • Represent the Company at trade shows and business networking events when required to promote our client's solutions.
  • Work with senior colleagues to align sales strategies to meet the overall business objectives.
  • Produce accurate and timely sales reports.
  • Coordinate solutions to customers utilising the knowledge of the internal Technical Support staff.

Education and Experience (Essential criteria)

  • Third level qualification desired but exceptional experience and performance could override this.
  • Business Development experience in a technical environment
  • Can demonstrate exceptional levels of customer service and care
  • Excellent communication, organisation and presentation skills
  • Effective inter-personal skills
  • Experience of writing clear and concise proposals
  • Strong time management and coordination skills
  • Good decision making and problem-solving skills

In addition to the above duties and responsibilities the post holder must be prepared to undertake such additional duties which may result from changing circumstances, but which may not of necessity change the general character or level of responsibility to the post.
