Role: Business Development Manager - Frozen Food Products

The company is one of the UK's leading independent wholesalers and distributors of frozen food products to the wholesale, catering and retail markets.

Specialising in quality frozen meat, poultry, seafood and further processed products for the fusion/ ethnic and catering sectors. All sourced from a wide global network of EEC approved plants.

The role:

This a purely a new business development role, you will also be responsible for highlighting and creating new business opportunities, responding to new business requests and increasing sales and turnover.

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive sales through identification and following up on new opportunities
  • Maintain and update the company database
  • Deal with all enquiries in a timely manner
  • Drive customer sales whilst carrying out site visits
  • Organize and manage own diary ensuring that time is fully utilized and is well organized
  • Prepare presentations for customers.
  • Attend exhibitions in the UK and overseas.
  • Develop and maintain new and existing customer relationships


  • Degree level qualification or equivalent
  • Ability to translate customer needs into product requirements
  • Strong and concise communication skills
  • Proven sales track record in the food industry preferably experience in meat & seafood products
  • Contacts within the catering, retail and distribution sectors is essential.
  • Disciplined planning and execution skills
  • Full UK driving license
