Role: Business Development Manager - Fasteners
Location: Flexible – Ideally Mid-West, South-East or Western USA

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – FASTENERS
We are currently recruiting an exciting opportunity for a premium manufacturer of high-quality screws and fasteners, as they look to further expand their business. Their inventory is made up of high-quality bolts, screws and a range of specialty products.
Whilst the company have traditionally sold into distributors, this position will focus on targeting OEM’s, with their work coming predominantly in the industrial and automotive spaces.
The role will be targeting a new customer base for the business, so will be heavily focussed on new business in the early stages, however as you win new business and bring on accounts, you will then be given the opportunity to manage these accounts, so in time it will lend itself to an even split between new business and account management.
You will need at least 3 years’ experience working within the fastener industry in outside sales. Ideally you will have experience of selling directly into industrial or automotive OEM’s, and if you have previously worked for a fastener distributor this would work well.
You must be a highly motivated results driven person, be prepared to travel, have strong time management skills, and be able to close sales, as these will be key characteristics of the role. A proven track record of success is essential.
