Business Development Manager – Supply Chain Solutions

Location - Home Based in the Midlands, North of England or Scotland

Salary - £35,000 to £45,000 plus Bonus Scheme and Company Car

 

Our client is a leading provider of supply chain solutions, dealing with clients predominantly in the FMCG market, through their European network of depots, dealing with producers, distribution parties, processing companies and retailers.

An opportunity has become available for a driven & proactive solution seller to generate, manage and develop a portfolio of prospects, delivering profitable new business wins and managing the client relationship until ‘go live’.

 

The Role – Business Development Manager – Supply Chain Solutions:

Reporting into the Commercial Director and working towards set targets, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Prospect Development
    • Proactively contact defined targets to establish prospect viability
    • Respond promptly to new leads received externally
    • Make regular contact by phone, email and/or meeting with prospects identified
  • Proposal Management
    • Formulate and issue proposals for the closure of new business opportunities
    • Follow up and negotiate with the prospect to close the sale
    • Update CRM / Prospect Log to keep progress with the prospect visible
  • Contract Execution
    • Oversee the transition from prospect to customer
    • Review the contract to ensure that it is an accurate reflection of the agreement
    • Oversee the setup of customer account and implementation of the appropriate systems
    • Carry out a thorough handover of the business to the Customer Account Manager

The successful applicant for this role will need to demonstrate the following:
