CSR Auditor – Supplier Management

Remote Based, UK (Commutable to Derby when required)

We are looking for a CSR Auditor that can help with the delivery of complex Supplier Management scheme audits to the Business Assurance client base within the UK. We’re looking for somebody to participate and input within the groups development activity within Supplier Management, while managing a portfolio of clients related to your industry experience. You will lead audits against recognised standards in accordance with the groups Global Management System Requirements, for a global leading Testing, Inspection and Certification organisation. In addition, it is anticipated that the role holder will also be required to complete technical review activities (dependent on qualification status) with the majority of focus on auditing.

 

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of complex Supplier Management scheme audits and maintained coverage of qualification for less complex schemes operated by the UK Business Assurance Supplier Management team as required
  • Delivery of complex Supplier Management scheme audits to the Business Assurance client base
  • Work to the relevant procedures defined by the organisations Global Management System and associated documentation in order to meet scheme requirements
  • Plan, arrange and undertake detailed audits of client premises, management systems and practices against pre-determined Standards
  • Report audit findings verbally and written format to clients at the end of the audit in a timely and accurate manner
  • Use objective evidence gained throughout the audit process to prepare detailed reports in an accurate and concise manner within defined KPI timescales defined by the groups Global Management System procedures
  • Review corrective actions /corrective action plans submitted by clients within defined timescales
  • Act as Client Manager for defined key accounts, ensuring co-ordination of audit programmes, and audit teams to provide a consistent approach
  • Maintain skills and knowledge relevant to the technical disciplines. Suitable training courses and learning opportunities will be identified through the personal development process

Required skills and experience

  • Highly knowledgeable in the principles and practices of Supplier Management schemes and their operation
  • Successful and significant track record in the delivery of industry recognized Corporate Social Responsibility, Social Compliance and Supplier assessment audits
  • Strong organizational and IT literacy skills
  • A serious commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals and deadlines
  • Robust understanding of UK Labour laws, Health and Safety regulations and privacy laws
  • Demonstrable experience in working to tight deadlines for significant assignments, prioritising workload effectively, multitasking and managing conflicting priorities
  • Willingness to travel and support all relevant international work

Education/Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent (beneficial)
  • Qualified APSCA RA (required)
  • At least 3 years combined experience in relevant work environment e.g. design, implementation and continual improvement of a range of supplier management schemes; system assessments and certifications, standards development and audit.
