General Manager - Analytical Testing

Location: United States

Salary: $125,000 - $185,000 basic + bonus + Full Benefits Package 


The General Manager for the Lab Group will report directly to the Managing Director of the Americas and will be a key potential successor for higher level management and leadership positions in the future too.

This position will be directly responsible for P&L of the US Testing division and will be responsible for driving innovation, reliability, quality, efficiency, and new testing services.

Heavy focus on operational leadership with strong commercial and financial acumen. There is lots of room for growth and expansion of the role, especially as the company continues its impressive growth. Essential experience

Management experience with demonstrable P&L responsibility (Can be General Manager, Site Manager, Section Leader, VP, Lab Manager Level, Operations manager). 

Ability to recruit, lead, manage, and motivate individuals and teams.

P&L management experience.

Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers.

Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with other divisions.

Ability to identify areas of expansion with new testing services.

Ability to identify areas for increasing efficiency and productivity of the lab and for cost control Desirable experience.

Experience in contaminant analysis and/or PCR-based analysis (Pesticides, Contaminants, and Mycotoxins is desirable)

Understanding of the analytical equipment and methods.

Understanding and experience in completion of non-conforming work process and investigative reviews.

Commercial understanding of the testing market and drivers, i.e. is this analyte/DNA expected to be found in this product type.

Ability to optimise quality systems.
