General Sales Manager UK - Parts Sales - Materials Handling, Fork Lift & Aerial Platforms Parts.

Location: Midlands Based - UK wide coverage plus Europe

Salary: c£50,000 to £60,000 plus car, annual bonus, private healthcare and pension

Role - General Sales Manager - Parts Sales - Materials Handling, Fork Lift & Aerial Platforms Parts:

My client is a European market leader in the supply of Parts for Materials Handling, Fork Lifts, Earth Moving Equipment and Aerial Platforms. They are a multi-million-Euro organisation, operating throughout Europe that are looking to appoint a General Sales Manager to look after their UK operation.

As General Sales Manager you are responsible for the profit and loss of the UK business, in order to reach the agreed strategic goals together with your team 43 (12 direct reports). You will run the UK operation from top to bottom with a key emphasis on sales as well as being responsible for the day to day operations, finances, staff management and logistics.

The role will report directly into a Regional Manager for Europe.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate the following:

  • You must have excellent people management experience and skills - ESSENTIAL
  • Proven experience in the parts industry or materials handling, fork lifts, aerial platforms or earthmoving equipment sectors - ESSENTIAL
  • A strong sales background you will have the ability to operate across a range of activities and be a first class communicator at all levels in a high profile customer facing role - ESSENTIAL
  • An ability to work autonomously, develop a strategy for success and prioritise daily and weekly activities - ESSENTIAL
  • A track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and KPI's - ESSENTIAL
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal and analytical communication skills - ESSENTIAL
  • Ideally master degree educated or equivalent through experience, you will have a significant level of business achievement within B2B sales in a similar market place - DESIRABLE
