Location: North-East based

Salary: c£30,000-£40,000 basic, Annual Profit Based Bonus, Pension, Laptop/Mobile and Car.

 

Role: Group Operations Manager – Construction/Property/Timber Merchants

My client is a fast-growing construction based business located in the North-East of England. The business is split into 3 divisions, contracting (services such as damp proofing, block paving & driveways etc), property and a timber merchant. This role is a group wide role sitting above the 3 business units to assist in the day to day running of the Group and provide operational support to the owner.

 

The role is to effectively be the ‘number 2’ in the business and oversee the day to day delivery of each individual business unit, including staff management of 30 people, with 10 direct reports, KPI implementation and Profit and Loss responsibility. The role reports into the owner/founder of the business.

 

Candidate:

  • You will have a proven operational management background of at least 4 years, preferably in a construction based business.
  • You will be an expert with finances and understand balance sheets and preferably be proficient with accountancy systems and software.
  • You will be based in the North-East and be able to cover the region across the different business units.
  • You will need to be an exceptional people manager and be able to manage people of all levels.
