TITLE: Law Costs Draftsman

We require Claimant Costs Draftsman, working on predominantly Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence and Commercial cases. The role will be drafting, however being a busy Costs Practice we encourage skills to be utilized in other areas when necessary.

We are looking for Candidates with several years experience within the Legal Costs profession, and who has experience both drafting budgets and bills, is familiar with the new electronic bill of costs, and is comfortable conversing with clients. Therefore good communication skills are essential.
Other responsibilities will include
-Producing Replies to Points of Dispute using relevant case law.
-Drafting formal Bills.
-Drafting schedules of costs and N260's
-Dealing with multi-track and fast-track cases.
-Dealing with electronic and paper files for costing.
-Handling your own varied case load.
-Producing detailed risk analysis of costs.
-Negotiating costs over the telephone and by written communication.
-Dealing with disbursement dispute cases.
-Preparing Trial bundles/ Part 8 Claim Forms/ Applications for Interim Payments/Request for Detailed Assessment.
-Excellent Negotiation skills
