Location: Flexible base - Global Remit
Salary: c£65,000 - £75,000 basic, pension, bonus and car allowance.
MANAGING DIRECTOR - GENERATORS
My client is a well-established specialist manufacturer of large bespoke generators. They design and manufacture power systems for a wide range of applications including utilities, data centres, prison security, emergency power for hospitals and primary power for off-shore and industrial use. From single engine commercial stand-by generators to multiple engines, synchronised, generator power plants. A requirement has been made to recruit a first-class Managing Director to lead the business.
The role reports directly into the Chairman and will oversee the day to day running of the business, with a staff reporting line of 15, which includes 5 direct reports. The role has full responsibility for P+L, Sales, Operations, Production, Health & Safety and Service.
You will need at least 5 years' relevant leadership experience in a Generators organisation.
The preference would be someone who has been in a sales leadership role, who is looking to progress to a Managing Director post, as they require a sales focussed mentality in the business. However, they would still be interested in an existing Managing Director or an Operations Director who has a sales mindset.
Personal qualities must be someone who shows initiative, has clear thinking processes and above all someone that has personality and presence.
There is flexibility with regards the location of the role, as the role will be fluid, with time spent with customers and supplier, but at least two days per week will need to be spent in the office.
