Role: National Account Manager - Bakery Products

As a UK leader in the creation of Bakery Products we serve retail and food markets as well as artisan and industrial bakeries with a broad range of products and solutions. We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious sales person to join our growing sales team. Based in the Midlands we are committed to offering our customers innovative products backed up by a first class service.

The role:

You will be responsible for managing an existing portfolio of client accounts including maintaining and growing sales. You will also be responsible for highlighting new business opportunities, responding to new business requests and increasing sales.

You will also be responsible for working through our existing client base and servicing their business needs. This will involve problem solving and rectifying issues in their products and processes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide product support to existing and potential customers
  • Project management of specific bakery tasks
  • Carry out technical work for bakery projects to assist customers
  • Deliver proficient technical / commercial reports
  • Drive sales through identification and following up on new opportunities
  • Maintain and update the company database
  • Deal with all enquiries in a timely manner
  • Drive customer sales whilst carrying out site visits
  • Organize and manage own diary ensuring that time is fully utilized and is well organized
  • Prepare technical and training presentations for customers and distributors
  • Attend exhibitions in the UK and overseas.
  • Develop and maintain new and existing customer relationships

Requirements:

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent
  • Ability to translate customer needs into product requirements
  • Strong and concise communication skills
  • Proven sales track record preferably in the bakery or food industry
  • Disciplined planning and execution skills
  • Full UK driving license
