National Account Manager - tableware, catering disposables

Office Based - Kent

£45,000 + additional benefits

My client is a market leading manufacturer of tableware and catering disposables within the UK. They have a UK office based in the South East and an office based in Hong Kong. The business have been established well over 100 years and sell a mixture of branded and private label products into the catering and retail sectors.

As National Account Manager you will be given responsibility for managing a portfolio of National Accounts with some of most prestigious partners. Working in collaboration with all internal departments to ensure you meet and exceed our customers' expectations.

You will be an experienced National Account Manager with a proven track record in senior account management and sales, ideally from within the foodservice industry (distributors, wholesalers and national catering providers). You will have strong commercial acumen and influencing skills and the ability to develop new business partnerships, whilst maintaining strong customer relations with existing business.

This challenging role requires a pro-active, solution based individual with initiative and excellent commercial judgement. Results oriented, with the ability to proactively coordinate strategic customer account planning, focusing on increasing profit margins, whilst managing all aspects of relationship management and new account selling. Budget management experience is essential with an understanding of business P&L, together with a comprehensive knowledge of the supply chain and logistics process. You must fully understand how your business can achieve the company's targets and the customer expectations. This role is all about managing accounts, which will require the individual to deliver our product range in full to our customers as well as having the ability if necessary to implement price changes. Therefore an expert communicator is essential for this role as is someone who exudes the confidence to build trust quickly in relationships.
