My client has launched their new business in the UK this year and now turnover more than £10m. The board of directors have a wealth of experience within the consumer goods/retail industries and have teamed up with an Australian business to launch new products into the UK market. The business is growing quickly, and they have an ambitious growth plan in place for the next 5 years. Products range from giftware to books to stationery to licensed products with a plan to introduce 250 new products to the market next year.
Due to the rapid growth, my client would like to add a NAM to their ever-growing team. As National Account Manager you will inherit a portfolio of accounts to nurture and grow but also be expected to prospect and open new business accounts particularly targeting the value market and wholesalers. There is a real opportunity for the right person to grow with a young business and be fast tracked to senior management.
The successful candidate will have an appetite for new business, be hungry and ambitious to succeed and grow the overall turnover of the business. Ideally this person will have experience selling products such as giftware, stationery, licensed products or books. Experience selling to the discount or wholesale channel would be an advantage but not essential. The role is home based with one day a week in the office based in the South West.
