I am currently looking for a National Sales Manager to drive growth through existing clients and new business development to increase revenue and profit across a variety of industry sectors.

We have developed our capabilities through investment, innovation and driving change and now we have a core expertise in manufacturing extruded rubber profiles, engineering and fabricated products we supply customers across the industrial spectrum from General Engineering through Marine, Construction, Transportation and Defence, from Blue Chip to SME's.

Using state of the art production equipment and processes backed by ourengineering and technical expertise, we are focussed totally on customer needs, client satisfaction and the very best after sales support.

Description

The successful National Sales Manager will focus on developing measurable results in the rubber manufacturing industry in the UK, whilst focusing on customer application, delivery, satisfaction and quality requirements.

This role requires an entrepreneurial mind-set and a self-starter who has industry knowledge in the manufacturing sector delivering bespoke solutions to hit the ground running.

Key responsibilities will be to:

  • Maximise sales turnover and profitability
  • Identify and understand end use application needs
  • Conduct market research and look to uncover potential for future products through on-going visits to customers and potential customers, as well as end users
  • Market mapping and identifying key customers
  • Working closely with the internal engineering team
  • Ensure annual sales budgetsare achieved
  • Prepare presentations and other educational documents
  • Ensure that all commercial aspects of sales transaction are in the best interest of the company

Candidate's profile

The Successful National Sales Manager will be results driven and have the technical ability to understand customer problems and create solutions with the aid of the engineering team.

The National Sales Manager will:

  • Have experience of working in a technical sales environment.
  • Has experience of analysing customer needs and creating solutions.
  • May come from either a large organisation or, preferably, from an SME, but ideally should have experience in and an understanding of working in small organisations.
  • Be someone who wants to grow their business and maintain an entrepreneurial streak.
  • The ability to plan strategically with strong commercial acumen.
  • Proven track record in a technical led solution sales leadership role in a related industry.
  • Ideally experience of extrusion products or a bespoke manufacturing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to undertake travel.
  • An open and likeable personality with honesty and integrity.
  • Autonomous approach with a positive 'can do' attitude.
