To achieve their future growth expectations, they are recruiting for an Operations Director to help them strengthen their presence in Europe and to accelerate their growth potential. Whilst they are hugely respected within their field, their presence is not as widespread as you’d expect, which means that the successful candidate within this position will have a fantastic opportunity to really develop their relationships with new businesses.

  • We are looking for candidates that have strong General Management experience within a Laboratory environment.
  • Candidates must have experience of running change/business improvement projects, they must understand work flows and laboratory based processes, including how to improve efficiency and staff utilisation.
  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate previous experience in leading the operational growth of a laboratory-based business, by demonstrating facts and figures from previous positions.
  • Candidates must be able to communicate effectively and engage teams of staff (both technical and commercial) towards the achievement of stretching goals and objectives.
  • Candidates who are equally confident in front of staff and clients would be at an advantage.
  • Candidates with experience in operational growth planning, organisational development, staff engagement, training and development of staff through mentoring/coaching, and planning would be at a real advantage.
  • Experience of presentations, networking, public speaking, or producing white papers in this field would be an interesting bonus.
  • The ability to lead a team of over 30 people is paramount to success within this role.
  • Candidates with qualifications or work experience in the field of Analytical Chemistry would be at a strong advantage.
