Role: PROJECT ENGINEER - Generators, Switchboards & Transformers

Location: Commutable to the Yorkshire with flexible remote working

Salary: £30-40k basic dependent upon experience, phone, laptop & pension.

PROJECT ENGINEER- Generators, Switchboards & Transformers:

This role is for a Project Engineer for a successful manufacturer of diesel generators and associated electrical power related products such as switchboards and transformers. They provide critical power infrastructure for clients including the National Grid, NHS, HMP and the UK's Nuclear Power Stations.

The main objective of the position is to operate and manage projects to meet the client's commitments and liabilities, from the point of client order acceptance to the point of completion and handover to customer. The role will be office based but will require visits to oversee projects.

Candidate Requirements:

  • You will need to be able to commute to a Yorkshire office, as you will be office based the majority of the time, with the occasional site visit. There will be flexibility for somebody not locally based to work remotely from home for some days during the week.

  • You will need at least 3-5 years' project engineer experience, ideally from a related power generation background. Key areas of relevant expertise are diesel generators, low-voltage systems, high-voltage systems, combined heat and power, switchgear or transformers.

  • If you have dealt with projects relating to the National Grid, then this would be advantageous.

  • A degree or equivalent or HNC with a technical/engineering bias would be preferable but not essential.

If you would like to be considered for this position, please forward your current CV with a covering letter at your earliest convenience, stating your suitability for the role.
