Project Sales Director - Gas Generators

Location: Yorkshire (you will need to be commutable to here)

Do you want to work for a Global Manufacturing company? Are you interested in relocating to China? Do you have previous experience of selling generators?

Our client is a leading global manufacturer of generator sets, lighting towers and compressors, with their main product focus on diesel generator sets, gasoline generators, gas-turbine generator sets and support equipment, such as ATS and parallel devices.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Sales Director to assist with the growth of their gas generator division.

They are looking for a confident individual who can manage demanding situations with resilience and adapt to changing priorities effectively. You will need to be a leader who encourages others to achieve their goals and help to create a culture based on quality, honesty, innovation and teamwork.

The Role:

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible and reports to the UK General Manager
  • Accountable for identification, structuring, negotiation and closure of sales of gas/biogas gensets/installation to the allocated market, through various communication lines.
  • Project Management of gas/biogas genset
  • Team management, building a team around you and then lead/train your team by example.
  • Managing the accounts and ensuring the inquiries are handled in a satisfactory way, advising customers on products & delivery schedules and making sure orders are implemented in the time frame.
  • Provide assistance to the Senior Management and the After Sales Team in handling the after sales service/warranty claims to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Provide assistance to the Senior Management in establishing strategic marketing plans, providing feedback and information to support market solutions.

The Person:

The successful applicant for this opportunity will need to demonstrate the following:

  • A good understanding of engineering and willingness to learn
  • Proven experience in gas generator sales/installation
  • Familiar with the UK regulations of electricity & national grid, such as G99
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Self-motivated, and able to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Able to travel overseas if required
