Regional Sales Manager - Home Décor & Fragrance

South of England

Up to £40,000 + £10,000 bonus + Car + additional benefits

My client is the leading home decoration & fragrance company in the UK, established over 30 years ago the business are a major supplier of the home and gift industry with customers throughout the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.

Due to a restructure, the business is in a position to hire a Regional Sales Manager to their team. As Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing around 150 accounts across the South of England. The territory will run up to mid Birmingham and will include the entire South of England. Full sales support will be offered by a dedicated office-based team to help co-ordinate customer appointments and journey planning. The territory currently generating a turnover of circa £1 million through existing sales network.

The ideal candidate will be based centrally around Oxfordshire/Northamptonshire however other centrally based locations of the patch will be considered. Ideally you will have homeware/Giftware/Fragrance experience and be flexible and comfortable with travel.

Responsibilities include:

  • Service existing accounts & obtain orders by planning and organising daily work schedules and arranging visits to sales outlets as necessary.
  • Present and sell company products to existing and potential customers and assist them in selecting those products best suited to their needs.
  • Open new accounts within the territory.
  • Prepare route plans to effectively visit current and potential customers.
  • Follow up on new leads generated through exhibitions, website and referrals resulting from field activity.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities within territory.
  • Support the Sales and Managing Director in the management of key accounts including the preparation and pricing of quotations.
  • Preparation of photo quotations for all independent customers.
  • Support all showroom visits by customers from territory.
  • Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity and sales analysis.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions and making recommendations.
  • Set up and attendance at exhibitions.
  • Other duties as requested.
