POWER ENGINEER - COMPRESSORS & GENERATORS

Location: West Midlands

Salary: £23,000 to £25,000 Basic Salary, plus Overtime, Quarterly Bonus Scheme and 21 Days Holiday (raises to 26 days after 12 months employment)

Role: POWER ENGINEER - COMPRESSORS & GENERATORS - WEST MIDLANDS:

Our client is a leading provider of hire products and supporting services to the construction, industrial and infrastructure sectors. They have a network of over 200 depots across the UK and Ireland, and over 3000 people who offer a nationwide service and look after one of the largest hire fleets in the market.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a depot-based Power Engineer, to carry out the inspection, testing, maintenance & repair of their power products, ensuring a safe & professional working environment at all times.

As Power Engineer, it will be your responsibility to ensure that all equipment sent out on hire to clients is fully cleaned, painted and in full working order, carrying out comprehensive safety checks on all hire equipment before dispatch/return.

Reporting into the Site Supervisor, you will also monitor stock levels of spare parts, advise on the requirements for purchase of fuels, complete equipment audits and help with the development & progression of Workshop Engineers and Site Drivers.

Candidate - POWER ENGINEER - COMPRESSORS & GENERATORS - WEST MIDLANDS:

The ideal applicant will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Previous experience as an Engineer
  • Technical knowledge of generators and/or compressors
  • Technical / Engineering background
  • Ability to carry out test & repair of equipment
  • Health & safety conscious
  • Flexibility
  • Team player
  • Good under pressure
  • Organised
  • Good communication skills
