WORKSHOP ENGINEER - SMALL PLANT & TOOLS

Location: West Midlands

Salary: £21,000 to £25,000 Basic Salary, plus Overtime, Quarterly Bonus Scheme and 21 Days Holiday (raises to 26 days after 12 months employment)

Role: WORKSHOP ENGINEER - SMALL PLANT & TOOLS - WEST MIDLANDS:

Our client is a leading provider of hire products and supporting services to the construction, industrial and infrastructure sectors. They have a network of over 200 depots across the UK and Ireland, and over 3000 people who offer a nationwide service and look after one of the largest hire fleets in the market.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a depot-based Workshop Engineer, to carry out inspection, testing, maintenance & repair work on their full range of small plant & tools, ensuring a safe & professional working environment at all times.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for completing transfer sheets, test tickets & any other associated paperwork, monitor stock levels for spare parts & fuels, ensure all equipment is cleaned & painted before presenting to clients, assist with workshop asset & stock counts and various other ad hoc duties

The ideal applicant will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Previous experience as Workshop Engineer
  • Technical knowledge of small plant & tools
  • Technical / Engineering background
  • Ability to carry out test & repair of equipment
  • Time served within a workshop environment
  • Health & safety conscious
  • Flexibility

  • Good under pressure
