Our client is a mid-size globally recognised SaaS/Compliance business with a primary focus on the food, feed, and agricultural markets, they are a key partner to the world’s leading brands right through to single product local producers. No other business has the breadth and depth of data that our client has, the international/global scope, and the level of scientific integrity to underpin their service, and they are fully set to become the market leader within their field.

The Strategic Marketing Director role will report directly into SVP level, it will be responsible for putting together and implementing the marketing strategy for their Food Safety Software business, incorporating positioning, targeting, market segmentation, and messaging, bringing together multiple acquisitions and service lines and integrating it all into one platform to be pushed out to market. This division is set to become one of the largest business units of the group, and so successful performance within this role would open up lots of progression opportunities too.

The ideal candidate would have;

  • Superior influencing and communication skills, collaborating with former owners (who are now General Managers within the business) post-acquisition is paramount – our client requires a candidate who can generate credibility and trust with these individuals, they will be key internal clients for this role.
  • Prior knowledge and experience of regulatory risk assessment solutions, or SaaS/Compliance based services into the Food, Feed, and Agri markets is essential.
  • Experience developing and implementing go-to-market strategy in partnership with operational and commercial teams. Ensure financial and operational goals and growth strategies are achieved and aligned with customer expectations and the strategy, mission, and values.
  • Candidates would be at a real advantage in they have a deep understanding of the world’s largest food and beverage companies, international private labels for large retailers, food ingredient companies, and the world’s largest brand owners.
  • The role could be home based anywhere for the right candidate, but candidates in Europe or US would be ideal. Ability to travel (when safe) internationally is required.
